This was originally simply called Lightroom CC 2015, but they have just re branded this as Lightroom Classic 7.0. This is the Lightroom that we are all use and love! Lightroom Classic 7.0 (Formerly known as Lightroom CC 2015)įor the last few years you have also been able to get your hands on Lightroom as part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud subscription model. This download version is being phased out (more on that in a bit) but currently still available, at least until the end of 2017. (earlier versions are Lightroom 5, then 4, etc)
The latest version of this is Lightroom 6. Lightroom 6įor the last few years you have been able to purchase Lightroom as a standalone product, that you simply pay a one off fee for, and download to your computer. Lightroom sure do know how to confuse people (especially those new into photography) by having not one, not two, but three different versions of Lightroom currently available! So, let’s break down each name and what it means.
